Our History
John Hensley, Group CEO
Equipped with a pedigree in military communications, electronics and a Bsc (Hons) in Psychology, John started his first company at 21 years, with the backing of The Prince’s Youth Business Trust; having gained immediate market penetration with a timely solution for a global cold war satellite and aerospace project. That same entrepreneurial spirit and ability to identify trends and needs in the technology sectors saw the emergence of further innovative, specialist companies to form what is now, 30 years on, Antistat, & Integrity Cleanroom. With a turnover of $25m+, the group represents a synergistic yet diverse set of businesses delivering high-end, award-winning, technology-led packaging solutions and expertise, specialist ESD consumables, electronic components and clean room supplies to varied industries spanning electronics, medical, defence, aerospace, creative and automotive. Customers include the likes of Hewlett Packard, GE, McLaren, Celestica, Goodrich and General Dynamics here in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
With a clear focus on product excellence, unrivalled service, and innovation, as Antistat’s CEO, John is driving his team to continue to grow the business.
One of the UK’s Top 100 fastest growing companies, further growth is expected to reach $34m by 2023 and plans $38m by 2024.
Ron Tosh, Chief Operating Officer
After leaving university, Ron worked as a computer programmer. Taking on various roles that eventually led him to become IT Manager for the UK’s largest independent component distributor, developing software and systems that allowed them to treble in size in just eight years. Subsequent positions as Operations Director and Managing Director of their manufacturing division gave him insight into every aspect of the business and an excellent understanding of supply chain management.
Since joining Ant Group in 2007, the company has grown exponentially mainly due to John’s vision and Ron’s ability to turn this vision into procedures and processes that deliver consistent customer satisfaction.
Michele King, Chief Finance Officer
Michele heads up the finance team and also is board Director, as group CFO. Her role was made a board position in 2007, having been retained as a finance consultant for ESD group.
